Aloha from Maui
30 year old earth
Lava constanly flows into the pacific ocean off the coast of the big island of Hawaii. Today we drove on a harden lava flow shelf that was only 30 years old. The closer we got to the sea the younger the earth became. At the end of the 20 mile drive we were treated to a natural arch created by the lava flow. Depending on the temperature and the amount of gas present when the lava cool it creates on of two types of lava, smooth flowing – pahoihoi, or sharp and poreous – a’a’. Both are visible in the pictures here.

This 12 hole course is located on the south west end of Windsor next to Eastman Park
All the holes are par 3 and some are pretty short shots (< 250'), with an average distance of 270'. The baskets are new and each hole has at least two positions. Tee boxes are enclosed with 4x4s and filled with wood chips. Looks like a fun course. A few pics below and loads of info at DGcoursereview.com
